Sharpie Blazer Markers by AllHailZ Sharpie Blazer Markers by AllHailZ
In case you were wondering just how many markers it took to complete the hood and the rear tailgate... here's your answer. There are a total of 26 markers in this photo but that doesn't include the 6 or so that were thrown away in the beginning of the project. It's actually around 30-35 markers. It took my best friend and I probably around 40-60 hours to complete the hood, maybe more. The markers are oil-based paint markers made by Sharpie and DecoArt.

Woooowww... :O

Soo, the stuff that you have drawn on the hood, won't be washed away by rain or stuff? or possibly ruined by sun?

No, it won't be but it does require some drying time.  It's not a good idea to draw right before it rains or before it gets cool overnight and dew gets on it.  It's usually best to let it heat up in the sun or drive it around and let the engine dry it up quicker.   Once it's completely dried, it'll go through car washing machines just fine.  I've done it a few times but hand washing is always best.

It will fade, after about 2-3 months, depending on where you're parked.  Tree sap is a royal pain so I keep it parked where there are no trees above it.  I plan on clearcoating it once I have the money and I won't have to touch it up but for now, it's not hard touching it up when needed.
